You now participate in this great plan. You are living in this prophecy.
The Bible, including the Old Testament, is personally prophetic for anyone who is in Christ. This was a fundamental teaching of the church for the first years, when they saw massive growth and supernatural fruit. So let's go back and see what the Bible tells you about The most important thing about this ancient prophecy, this prophecy concerning you, is that your problem is one of spiritual genetics, not deeds done or not done. A child cannot change his or her genetic father by trying to behave like their best friend's dad.
You are what you are. And what you are, in the core of your being, your "spirit", that energy that cannot be created or destroyed, is fundamentally different from the core, from the "spirit" of God, who is the Creator of Life and the source of all life.
That's a problem, isn't it? If you are eternal, and you are different from the source of eternal life, that only leaves eternal death as a consequence. The Bible reveals that God's essence is "love", but a particular kind of love: agape a Greek term.
Roots Below, Fruit Above - Wisdom Hunters
The bible defines this not through contemporary Greek grammars, but in the same way it defines all critical terms: through demonstrations. Agape is a kind of love that sacrifices itself for the benefit of God and others. Your spirit seeks to benefit itself. Do a catalog of your thoughts through a day: how many times did you make a decision based on what was best for you? How many times did you mull over a plan to benefit someone else at your own expense or even to your harm?
Psychologists call this "survival instinct", or "fight or flight response".

It's a natural response from our natural spirits, and it's the opposite of God's Spirit remember: "satan" means "opposer, opposite". This is the definition of "sin", and it is what separates you, forever, from being with the only source of creation, of life, and of love, in the universe.
So, how can God kill this "death gene" without killing you? How do you get a new family tree, a new ancestry?

Lord, I want Your healing in all areas of my life. I know You are the creator of all things, and You made me just the way I am — perfectly. I thank You for knowing me more than I know myself, and I pray today that You would set me free to be me. To be whole. To help others find freedom, too.
The joy of Your presence — all of it. Please forgive me, Father, for shunning Your truth. Thank You, too, for sending Your messengers my way — those who would dare speak the truth when everyone else was afraid to. Please change my roots so my fruit can change.
